Carol Czitrom
Pianist/Organist
Carol began playing the piano at age six. She has had a long and varied musical life from high school choir pianist to a graduate of New York University with a major in Theatre and Music.

She studied acting with the famed Stella Adler, performed Off Broadway and traveled throughout the United States, performing in plays and musicals such as The Fantasticks, Stop the World, I want to Get Off, the Thurber Carnival and many others.
Subsequently, Carol worked in various Resident Theatres in Maryland, Tennessee and New York State, playing in Gershwin by George,
Sondheim by Sondheim, and She Loves Me to mention a few.
Carol then stepped into the directing role. Some of her favorites are Brighten beach Memoirs, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, and her all-time favorite 1776.

In 2006, Carol began putting programs together that included the American Songbook. She wrote and performed the biographies of Yip Harburg (Over the Rainbow, How Are Things in Glocca Morra) and Hoagy Carmichael (Stardust, Lazy River, Georgia).

You can catch her playing the well-known standards around town at 600 Main Tea Room, Lavallette Yacht Club, libraries and senior centers.

A need arose for a pianist at Pine Beach Chapel and now Carol has a home where music and faith are intertwined. She is now adding the organ to her musical toolbox.
